I'm Ian Stuart.

14+ years building and running the operational systems B2B companies depend on. I started in web development, moved into Salesforce in 2015, and haven't looked back. Over a decade of deep platform work — Apex, Flows, custom architecture, org rescues, integrations, migrations.

Today I lead CRM operations, revenue architecture, and automation for B2B companies across SaaS, logistics, real estate technology, and life sciences. Most of my clients run Salesforce. Many run HubSpot alongside it. I handle both.

How SMOPS Works

SMOPS is a focused RevOps consultancy. I lead every engagement personally, with a network of vetted specialists for Apex development, data engineering, and marketing automation. No account managers. No junior associates learning on your dime.

You won't wait six months for a discovery phase. You won't get a 40-page SOW before anyone touches your org. When you work with SMOPS, you work with me directly — Slack, email, video. I own the work and the relationship.

Who I Work With

Most of my clients are B2B companies running Salesforce — SaaS companies, logistics firms, real estate technology, life sciences. I handle Salesforce administration, Apex development, HubSpot optimization, RevOps architecture, integrations, and AI automation.

The common thread: companies with complex operations that need someone who can both design the system and build it. Not a strategy deck — working software, clean data, and processes that actually run.

How I Think About the Work

Build it clean, hand it off clean.

Everything I build uses platform-native patterns and clear documentation. If you ever outgrow us, any competent ops person can pick up where we left off.

Outcomes over tools.

I don't sell software. I sell operational results. The technology is the how, not the what.

Stay until it works, leave when you're ready.

Month-to-month engagements. No lock-in. Most clients stay for years because the work is good, not because of a contract.
